This is a great bass song (whether you are a Doors fan or not). The bass parts on the first
Doors album were played on keyboard by Ray Manzarek, but a different studio bassist was
on every album thereafter. This song comes from the album "L.A. Woman" which featured one
of the greatest studio bassists of the time, Jerry Scheff. Jerry's bass lines on this album
clearly make the songs what they are. In fact, the Doors were so impressed with him that they
approached him to join the band - as a permanent member. Unfortunately, Morrison died prior
to this taking place. You can check out Jerry Scheff at www.scheff.com/jerry. Enjoy -
